Terry Kunst
State Chaplain - Army

Terry Kunst enlisted in the US Army shortly after graduation from Montabella high school in 1970. He served in Vietnam from May 1971 to February 1972 as a door gunner and crew chief on a CH 47 Chinook helicopter with the 101st Airborne Division. He received the Army Good Conduct Medal and Bronze Star Medal.

Following military service Terry graduated from CMU in 1979 with a BS in Business Administration and joined Century 21 as a real estate agent. He was a small business owner and then entered the insurance business as an agent from 1981 to 2024.

Terry and Diane have been married for 47 years and have four children and four grandchildren. Terry is a life member of the VFW and American Legion;  President, State Treasurer and Chaplain of Forgotten Eagles of Michigan Chapter 3; current Chaplain of Post 3033 and District 11. Founding member of Central Michigan Veterans Fund and Chairman of Isabella County Veterans Affairs Committee.

Terry was named Isabella County Veteran of the Year in 2023 and is an officiant to perform weddings and funerals.
